Police investigating 3 Saturday shootings, 1 body found in Alexandria
Police are investigating three Saturday shootings in Alexandria, one fatal, and a body that was found in the Dallas Street area.
All of the investigations are continuing, and the Alexandria Police Department asks those with information about any of the cases to contact them at 318-441-6416 or 318-441-6559.
The department's busy day began not long after midnight, when it was contacted by Acadian Ambulance for help with the body of a man that had been found at the Dallas Avenue and Cypress Street intersection.
The body hasn't been identified yet, but police said it was a 30-year-old white male with "no apparent signs of foul play," according to a news release. An autopsy is planned.
Then, less than two hours later, officers were sent to the Bayview Yacht Club off Jackson Street for a call about gunshots being fired.

They found a 17-year-old who had been wounded by gunfire. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, but the wounds were not life threatening.
Two Alexandria men, ages 21 and 23, were arrested by police on weapon and drug charges in connection to this shooting. The release states more charges and arrests are pending. Five guns have been seized so far, it reads.
Nothing else major was reported until Saturday night.
Around 10:39 p.m., police went to the Levin and Chester streets area for a report about someone being shot. A victim was found and was taken to a hospital. The release stated the victim was in critical condition.
Minutes later, around 11:13 p.m., police reported to the 500 block of Avoyelles Drive for a shots fired call. They found a 19-year-old man who was dead "from apparent gunshot wounds," the release reads.
The victim was identified as Dontravius Williams of Alexandria.
