Police investigating death of Kings Mountain woman
A woman died after her car struck a power pole in Kings Mountain Friday, according to Kings Mountain Police.
The cause of death is still under investigation, according to a press release.
Chief Gerald Childress said a female driver was found unresponsive and although lifesaving measures were attempted, she was pronounced dead at the scene. He said it is still under investigation and although it did not appear the wreck caused her death, he said he does not yet know a cause.
According to the release, Linda Richardson Guevara, 44, of Grover, collided with a power pole at the 200 block of South Watterson Street in Kings Mountain and when first responders arrived on the scene, Guevara was unconscious and not breathing.
