Police investigating ‘racial hate crime’ after video shows woman calling man n-word

Police have appealed for witnesses after a video shared on social media showed a woman racially abusing a man.

In a video uploaded to Twitter and TikTok, the woman and man can be seen arguing outside what appears to be a pub.

The woman can be heard telling the man, "I feel sorry for the c**t that made you".

Responding, the man, who cannot be seen in the clip, calls the woman "fat" before telling her "you stink like s**t".

At that point, the woman, who was about to get into a car with a group of people, says "and you're a n****r, bye b***h".

Another man, who appears to be a pub doorman, attempts to usher the woman into the car after she makes the racist remark.

One of those sitting in the car then leaves the vehicle to accost the man recording the video.

She attempts to grab his device before the doorman intervenes to restrain her.

It is not exactly clear when or where the incident took place, but the footage was uploaded to Twitter shortly after 10am on Wednesday morning.

Hertford Constabulary said it was aware of the footage.

The incident has not been formally reported to the police.

The force said in a statement: "Police are aware of footage circulating on social media of a racial hate crime incident which reportedly occurred in Hitchin.
