The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating seven armed robberies on the city's east side last week, all believed to be connected to the same suspects, according to a news release from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee police.

The string of robberies occurred the evening of Thursday, Jan. 19, early Friday, Jan. 20, and the evening of Saturday, Jan. 21, according to UWM police.

Three of the robberies occurred on the Upper East Side and Shorewood near UWM's campus, but none of the robberies occurred on campus. No one was injured in the robberies.

Police say the suspects are driving a white 2020 Kia Sportage with Minnesota plates, but have previously used both a white and silver sedan.

"UWM Police are adjusting patrols around campus and in surrounding neighborhoods and working closely with Milwaukee Police in response to these incidents," UWM police said in a statement.

"Staff, students, and faculty are urged to download the Rave Guardian App to receive UWM Emergency Alerts and access other safety features. The university works closely on a regular basis with Milwaukee Police and the city of Milwaukee’s Department of Neighborhood Services to maintain a safe and vibrant community for students, faculty, staff, neighbors, and visitors."

UWM police are asking the public to call 911 if a suspected vehicle or a robbery is observed.
