Police investigating shooting at Wilmington convenience store
The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting inside a Wilmington convenience store that left one person in the hospital Friday evening.
Police responded to reports of a shooting around 7:30 p.m. Friday at Prince Mini-Mart, 3002 Princess Place Drive. Officers were told when they arrived one person had been shot and was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle.
Injuries sustained by the victim appeared to be non-life-threatening, according to a news release from the department.
Police also identified damage inside the store from the shooting. The police conducting a criminal investigation of the incident, according to the news release.
