Seattle officer shoots dog in South Delridge neighborhood
A Seattle police officer shot and wounded a dog that bit a man in the South Delridge neighborhood on Thursday evening.
Two officers were responding to another call near the 9200 block of Delridge Way Southwest at 5:50 p.m. when they heard a man screaming.
Officers ran toward the sound and found an injured man and a dog.
An officer opened fire, striking the dog, according to a post on the Seattle Police Blotter.
Police said the man who was bitten left the area before he was interviewed by officers or examined by medics.
The dog also fled after it was shot. It was later found and taken to an emergency veterinarian hospital.

The Seattle Police Department Force Investigations Team is investigating the shooting.
SPD released body cam video associated with the shooting on Saturday afternoon.
Officer Robert Terrell, who was involved in the shooting, remains on paid administrative leave as this investigation continues.
