Apr. 8—Edwardsville police are looking for a man who fled on foot after shooting a woman at Hilltop Apartments at 3:40 p.m.

Police are preparing an arrest warrant, and the suspect is a Black man who is 6 feet tall and was wearing a doo-rag, Officer Matt Ogden said.

He shot the victim once in the lower body after an argument, and her injury is not life threatening, Ogden said.

Police have not yet identified the suspect and the victim. The suspect's relationship with the victim is he's "an ex of some kind," Ogden said.

Two small children were in the apartment of the time of the shooting, and the victim went to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for treatment, Ogden said.
