Police looking for witnesses to accident

Jan. 21—WILLINGTON — State police are looking for witnesses to an accident in Willington Thursday morning during which two people were injured, including a Tolland resident who received suspected serious injuries.

According to an accident report from state police, which was issued Thursday night, the accident was reported at 10: 43 a. m. at the intersection of Eldredge Road and Pinney Road.

Police said Loisann Diana- Sisson, 62, of Derek Drive, Tolland, received a suspected serious injury and was transported by Willington EMS personnel via ambulance to Hartford Hospital.

Police said 46 year- old Leon Griffin of Bank St., New London, received a " suspected minor injury" and was transported by University of Connecticut EMS personnel to Windham Community Memorial Hospital.

According to the release, the accident was still under investigation at the time.

Diana- Sisson was driving a 2016 Toyota, which she owns, and Griffin was driving a 2021 Ram. The Ram is owned by Ean Holdings LLC. and registered in Oklahoma.

The report indicates that Diana- Sisson was traveling south on Willington Hill Road, approaching the intersection with Pinney Hill Road in Willington.

Police said Griffin was stopped at a stop sign on Pinney Hill road, entering the travel portion of Willington Hill Road. The two vehicles collided in the northbound travel lane of Willington Hill Road.

Police said Diana-Sisson's vehicle hit a SNET pole before coming to an uncontrolled final rest in the road of the northbound lane of Willington Hill Road.

The vehicle Griffin was driving then hit a rock wall and came to an uncontrolled final rest in the roadside of the northbound lane of Willington Hill road.

Both vehicles were towed.
