Police name 12-week-old baby whose death was 'suspicious'

Police in Cambridgeshire have identified a 12-week-old infant who died under suspicious circumstances last week.

Teddie Mitchell, from St Neots, tragically died in Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge on November 11.

Police confirmed soon afterwards they have launched an investigation into how he died but they said the cause of his death has "not yet been ascertained".

A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, they have been released on police bail until November 28.

Teddie sustained injuries on November 1, 10 days before he eventually died in hospital.

Police have not been able to divulge anymore details on this case.

An inquest into Teddie's death is expected to be held sometime next week, while police continue their investigation.
