Man killed in shooting at Hampton Wing Stop ‘will be missed greatly’

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A man is dead after a shooting on Valentine’s Day inside a Wing Stop in Hampton, police said.

The call came in around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. 29-year-old Travell Lavar Giles was found dead at the scene inside the business, police said.

Giles was a tenor and founder member of the Lifter of Voices Ensemble (L.O.V.E.) community choir in Hampton.

L.O.V.E. wrote on Facebook that Giles “was known to be a good friend and a great encourager. He will be missed, greatly.”

At this time there’s no suspect information in the case but police are investigating.
