Police: Pizza Ranch employee in Wisconsin dies after getting hit by garbage truck

BURLINGTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 34-year-old Pizza Ranch employee in southern Wisconsin reportedly died after getting hit by a garbage truck that was doing a ‘backing maneuver’.

The Burlington Police Department posted on its Facebook page about a recent incident where a Pizza Ranch employee died after reportedly getting hit by a garbage truck. On April 15, around 9:50 a.m., authorities got a report of an accident in the parking lot of Pizza Ranch involving a garbage truck.

Authorities got to the scene and reportedly determined that the person hit by the garbage truck was dead. The initial investigation reportedly shows that the garbage truck was performing a ‘backing maneuver’ when it hit the victim.

Officials say that the business was closed at the time of the accident, and the victim was walking towards his car. The victim was only identified as a 34-year-old Waukesha resident who was employed by Pizza Ranch.

It is also mentioned that the operator of the garbage truck and the ASDA Company are cooperating with law enforcement efforts.
