A 37-year-old man has been charged with murder for the death of his 65-year-old father, New Castle County police said Thursday.

Allan Henderson Jr. was also charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and resisting arrest in connection with Allan Henderson Sr.'s death. It's not clear exactly when he died, but officers found him Tuesday night.

Police have not said how the elder Henderson died, but said he was found by officers conducting a welfare check with "multiple lacerations and significant trauma."
