Police respond to barricade situation in Manassas

MANASSAS, Va. (DC News Now) — The Manassas City Police Department (MCPD) said in a post that officers were responding to a barricade situation Friday night.

MCPD said there was a heavy police presence in the Liberia Avenue and Bayberry Avenue area due to a barricaded incident at a single-family home.

The home is located in the 9200 block of Bayberry Ave.

Residents are asked to avoid the area and stay inside their homes unless officers ask them to do otherwise.

The police response was ongoing as of 8:50 p.m.
