Police on Scene in Covent Garden as Large Crowd Present for Sale of MoonSwatch

Police were on the scene in London’s Covent Garden on March 26 amid reported “tension” over a long line at a Swatch watch shop, one of a number worldwide on the day a new Swatch-Omega collaborative timepiece went on sale.

The watch is a new version of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, called the MoonSwatch. Swatch advised that the MoonSwatch was not a limited edition and would be available in selected Swatch stores in the coming weeks. The company said it was limiting sales to one per person.
