Coroner identifies man found shot to death in Deer Park as 66-year-old resident of the city

The Hamilton County Coroner's Office on Thursday identified the man shot to death in Deer Park on Wednesday morning as 66-year-old Mark Mueller, a resident of the city.

Deer Park police continue to search for 70-year-old Michael Mueller in connection with the shooting in a home in the 7800 block of Monterey Avenue.

Officers found Mark Mueller unresponsive and suffering from several gunshot wounds when they responded to a medical alarm activation at the house.

Workers with the Deer Park Silverton Joint Fire District confirmed his death at the scene.

Police say they believe Michael Mueller lives in the Madisonville area and drives a 2018 Ford pickup truck with the license plate JUD1485/OH or PEB1734/OH.

Officers said the shooting appears to be family dispute, although they did not specify the relationship between Michael Mueller and Mark Mueller.

There is no threat to the general public, police said.
