Police searching for suspect in fatal hit and run

A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run in the town of Boiling Springs Friday evening, and police are searching for the person responsible.

Dorothy Hyde, 74, of Mooresboro, was on foot when she was struck at the intersection of North Main Street and Woodland Avenue around 6 p.m. Friday and was transported to Atrium-Cleveland where she died as a result of her injuries, according to a press release from Boiling Springs Police.

There is currently no information available on the suspect or vehicle involved.
