Reward offered for information in deadly shooting outside Manuel’s Tavern

Atlanta police and Crime Stoppers are asking for your help in finding a suspect who shot and killed a man outside a popular Atlanta tavern.

Channel 2 Action News This Morning first reported on the Oct. 27 shooting outside Manuel’s Tavern as police investigated.

Police said the victim, Dean Phillips, was shot in the chest after confronting the suspect who was seen breaking into cars at the establishment.

According to Manuel’s Tavern owner, Phillips yelled for help and asked other customers sitting outside to call police to report the break-ins.

A suspect, who has not ben identified, jumped into a waiting car and the getaway driver took off. Phillips died on the scene.

Months later, no arrests have been made. Now, police need your help locating the suspect.

Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta said the current reward for information on his murder is set at $5,000.
