Police searching for suspect in SW Oklahoma City stabbing

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma City Police are searching for a suspect they say stabbed a deaf man on March 19.

According to police, the incident happened at a convenience store near SW 29th St. and Robinson Ave. around midnight on Tuesday, March 19. A man was eating outside of the store when someone came up behind him and stabbed him twice.

Officials say the man was able to walk to a senior living center nearby where the police were called and he was quickly taken to a hospital.

The victim was later identified as Robert “Bobby” Osborne, who was born deaf, according to his mother, Angila West.

OKCPD posted photos on Thursday of the suspect they believe stabbed Osborne in what appeared to be an unprovoked attack.

“This man was at a gas station near SW 29th and Robinson back on March 19th, and stabbed a man (who is deaf and unable to speak),” said OKCPD.

Police ask anyone with information to contact OKC Crime Stoppers by calling 405.235.7300 or by submitting an anonymous tip online. A cash reward may be available.
