Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in a April 2022 fatal hit-skip crash that occurred in the New Albany area.

The crash is believed to have been the result of a road rage incident on Ohio 161 eastbound, west of the Beech Road exit.

New Albany police said that around 2:30 p.m. on April 19, 2022, a gray Honda Accord and a tan Honda Civic were both headed at a high rate of speed through traffic on eastbound Ohio 161. At some point during the interaction between the vehicles, the driver of the Accord, 46-year-old Bronson Crampton, of Newark, swerved off the road and crashed into the tree line.

Crampton was taken to Mount Carmel East hospital with critical injuries.

On Jan. 11, Crampton died as a result of the traumatic brain injuries he suffered in the crash. He is survived by his two children, his parents, a sister and a large network of extended family and friends.

Crampton's family said in his obituary that he enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing the guitar and spending time with those he cared about.

New Albany police only have information about the color of the Honda Accord and believe it is a 2006 to 2011 model year.

Anyone with information is asked to call Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS, use the free P3 Tips mobile application or provide information online at www.stopcrime.org.
