Police seek witnesses in 2-vehicle crash near Corry that killed 20-year-old Corry woman

CORRY — Pennsylvania State Police are looking for witnesses in their ongoing investigation into a two-vehicle crash in Wayne Township on Monday afternoon that led to the death of a 20-year-old Corry woman.

The crash happened Monday at 2:18 p.m. on Route 6 west of Hatchery Road.

According to state police in Corry, a Ram truck driven by the woman was traveling east on Route 6 when it crossed the centerline and into the westbound lane, where it struck a Ram 3500 that was hauling vehicles. The woman's truck spun and traveled back into the eastbound lane, where it came to rest against the guiderail, troopers reported.

The Ram 3500 went off the roadway and rolled onto its side, according to state police.

The woman, whose name is not being released pending confirmation from the Erie County Coroner's Office, was pronounced dead at the scene, state police reported. The driver of the Ram 3500, a 31-year-old man from Parma, Ohio, was not reported injured.

Route 6 was closed after the accident from North Main Street in Elgin to Route 89 in Wayne and Concord townships, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
