Police Still Looking For Leads In Teen's Heinous Murder

CBS4's Bobeth Yates reports investigators found Neel Curiel's body burned at the scene.

- Happening right now, there is a vigil for an 18-year-old who was killed over the weekend.

- Police are still looking for leads in the heinous murder, and his family is waiting for answers. CBS4's Bobeth Yates joins us now live with details on the case. Bobeth?

BOBETH YATES: Well, officials found that 18-year-old Curiel's body here. Now this is right off 187th and 8th Street. You take a look behind me, you can already see some flowers marking that spot, and family and friends are starting to arrive for a vigil to pay their last respects to the teen.

Now, officials say that-- now crime scene tape now marks the entrance to the trail where Neel Curiel's body was found. According to police, the 18-year-old was shot, and then his body was burned. He was discovered near a canal off southwest 187th Avenue, his car discovered a few miles away, and police say they're still needing help finding him, and that they have very little tips thus far.

Now, if you take a look back out to me again, flowers marking that spot where that teen body was found, and again, we're starting to see friends and family arrive for a vigil that is expected to take place within the next 30 minutes.
