Police: Suspect arrested in Boston woman's disappearance, body found in car

WILMINGTON, Del. – A body was recovered from a car after Delaware police stopped a driver along I-95 on Thursday, ending a manhunt for a suspected Boston kidnapper, authorities say.

The four-day manhunt followed the kidnapping of a woman from a Boston nightclub.

Boston police alerted agencies in several states to be on the lookout for a red car driven by the suspect.

Around 2 p.m. Thursday, Delaware State Police spotted the car, and after a brief chase on I-95, pulled it over outh of Wilmington.

The driver, 32-year-old Louis D. Coleman III of Providence, Rhode Island, has been arrested, according to Boston police.

The identity of the body and cause of death have not been determined.

Delaware State Police have not released any information about the chase.

Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements Jr. said in a press conference agencies are launching a homicide investigation. The Providence Journal is reporting local and Boston police rummaged through Coleman's Providence home on Thursday looking for evidence.

The Boston Police Department identified 23-year-old Jassy Correia as the kidnapping victim.

Boston police say Correia, a mother of a 2-year-old girl, was last seen leaving the Venu Nightclub in the company of an unknown male on Sunday, when she got into a red car, as captured by surveillance cameras.

Correia, who is approximately 5-foot-7, was last seen wearing big hoop earrings, an orange jumpsuit and a jean jacket with an image of red lips and pink wings on the back of it.
