Police say teen boy is charged with breaking into Milford smoke shop

MILFORD — A teenage boy has been charged with breaking into a local smoke shop, authorities said.

Police said the teen, who was not named due to his age, broke into Jay’s Smoke Shop, 9 Medway Road (Route 109), at 2:16 a.m. on Dec. 31.

The boy stole items worth more than several hundred dollars, police said.

Police had released security camera footage of the suspect and detectives identified him on Jan. 3.

Police filed charges in juvenile court on Jan. 17 and charged the boy with breaking and entering into a building during the night; larceny of property worth less than $1,200; and malicious destruction of property.
