Police Use Water Cannon During Continued Unrest in Belfast

Police in Northern Ireland used a water cannon on the night of April 8, video shows, as officers reported an “ongoing incident” in West Belfast.

This footage shows police spraying water on people in Springfield Road near the Shankill Road area where a bus was hijacked and set ablaze on April 7. A police warning can also be heard, as water is released.

Northern Ireland’s First Minister, the UK Prime Minister and the Irish Taoiseach have all condemned the violence.
