More candidates file

ANNAPOLIS — Several more candidates have officially filed to run for state and local offices in next year's elections. They include:

• For governor, Libertarian David Lashar of Belair, Md. As a third-party candidate, Lashar is eligible to run only in the general election Nov. 8.

• For U.S. Senate, Republican James Tarantin of Bethesda, Md., is seeking the GOP nomination in next year's primary election.

• For Washington County Democratic Central Committee, Jeffrey L. Sellers of Hagerstown is running in next year's primary.

Group seeking convention of states to meet

A group called Cobblers and Carpenters for Liberty plans to meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 6 at Tony's Pizza, 14224 Pennsylvania Ave., north of Hagerstown. The group plans to explain an Article V convention of states. For information, contact Rick Bibbee at patriot@woodsetter.com.
