Washington County Republican Club to host U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz
The Washington County Republican Club recently announced the guest speaker at its annual Eisenhower Day Dinner would be Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz.
The dinner starts at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at The Maryland Theatre, 21 S. Potomac St. in downtown Hagerstown, according to the club's online Eventbrite listing. Tickets start at $68.75.
The club had planned to have Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene speak at the dinner, which had been set for earlier in the month at Fountain Head Country Club in Hagerstown. However, a post on the club's Facebook page states things were changed due to scheduling conflicts.

Washington County Chamber of Commerce to host election forums in October
The Washington County Chamber of Commerce will host several election forums leading up to the General Election, the organization said in a recent news release.
Those interested in attending are asked to register for each, all of which will be at Applause Caterers, 58 E. Washington St. in Hagerstown. Each event will have registration at 6:30 a.m., breakfast at 7 a.m. and the forum at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $30.

Cobblers and Carpenters for Liberty meets monthly to discuss Article V of the Constitution
Cobblers and Carpenters for Liberty meets on the 6th of every month at 6 p.m. at Tony’s Pizza, 14224 Pennsylvania Ave. north of Hagerstown, according to a news release from organizer, Rick Bibbee.
Arrive by 5:30 p.m. for dinner and live entertainment until 6 p.m. Mack Berry will perform Oct. 6, and Music and Memories will perform Dec. 6.
After the entertainment, the group will engage in "a thorough Discussion and Debate of Article V of the U.S. Constitution," the release states.
