Washington County Republican Club moves April meeting
The Washington County Republican Club's next meeting is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 19 at the Williamsport American Legion, 400 American Legion Drive, Williamsport.
The meeting was moved to the third Wednesday of the month so as not to conflict with the preparations for the Republican Unity Dinner on April 29.

United Democrats of Washington County announce topics of meetings
The United Democrats of Washington County have details for their monthly meetings in April and May, according to an email from the group.
On April 19, the program is "Getting to know the Washington County Democratic Central Committee," with members explaining what the committee does, and how to be elected to it.

The May 10 program will feature the club's recruitment committee, which will give a program on the Washington County Public Schools Board of Education — what it does and how to run for a seat on it, looking ahead to the 2024 elections.
Both meetings are at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Washington County Free Library downtown branch, 100 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. For more details, visit www.washcodemsmd.org.
Registration for 2023 Western Maryland Democratic Summit set for April
The 19th annual Western Maryland Democratic Summit is planned for April 21 and 22 at Rocky Gap Casino Resort near Cumberland.
The summit is to feature the state's Democratic Party leadership, as well as elected officials, according to an email from summit organizers. It will also include workshops and exhibits on topics of interest to activists, candidates and political junkies, plus networking opportunities.
A complete schedule will be released in the coming weeks at www.westernmddems.org, according to organizers.
General admission costs $80 and students cost $35. Table sponsorship costs $700. Space is limited.
