Polk County bald eagle saved from lead poising by nonprofit

POLK COUNTY, Texas (KETK) — The Friends of Texas Wildlife (FTWL) said they have rescued a bald eagle to treat it for lead poisoning.

According to a post, the bald eagle was rescued on Jan. 20 in Polk County after being critically ill due to lead poisoning. FTWL said the eagle has been steadily improving and they hope to release him sometime next week.
