Baseball

Winter Haven 6, All Saints 5

Highlights: Winter Haven scored six runs on just four hits to beat the Saints. Joshua Cruz and Gage McCrystal each had a single and an RBI for the Blue Devils. Bubba Miller allowed just one unearned run in four innings. He struck out four. For All  Saints, Scott Weltlin doubled and drove in two runs. Cooper Wright had a pair of hits and scored twice, and Donovan Hill singled and drove in two runs.

Winter Haven 14, Ridge Community 1

Highlights: The Blue Devils erupted for eight runs in the first inning. Dylan Deleo doubled and drove in three runs. Mason Remondo had two RBIs, and Taylor Burdon was 2 for 2 with two RBIs two lead Winter Haven. Deleo, Chase Cluckey and Matthew Phieffer combined for a one-hitter.

Lakeland 10, Bartow 1

Highlights: Nic Partridge went 3 for 4 with four RBIs. He finished a single short of the cycle as he had a double, triple and home run. J Garcia went 2 for 3. C Emery and L DeJesus combined for a five-hit shutout. L West had a pair of hits for Bartow.

Avon Park 11, Lake Region

Highlights: Avon Park broke open a 4-4 game with six runs in the fifth innings. Jayvionee Williams led Lake Region with three hits and an RBI, and Jah'darius Richardson wand Jordan Gonzalez each went 2 for 3.

Frostproof 11, Lake Region 2

Highlights: The Bulldogs battered Lake Region for 12 hits. Joshua Brewer had three hits with two RBIs. Luke Thornton doubled and drove in two runs. Trey Holmon had one hit with two RBIs.

Softball

Bartow 3, McKeel 2

Highlights: Red Oxley pitched a one-hitter and allowed just one earned run, and she went 3 for 3 at the plate with two RBIs to lead the Yellow Jackets. Julia Heter went 2 for 3. For McKeel, Kyndal Cornelius tripled, drove in a run and scored. Emma Skipper allowed six hits and just two earned runs.

Lake Wales 11, Winter Haven 2

Highlights: Winter Haven scored two runs in the top of the first then it was all Lake Wales. The Highlanders scored seven runs in the bottom of the second to take a 8-2 lead. Presley Smith and Keira Davis each a pair of hits and drove in three runs. Zamya McBurrows had two hits and scored twice, and Kier Morris doubled and scored twice. Hannah Battles went 1 for 4 with two RBIs, and Lydia Dentonand Sydnie Whitaker each had an RBI.

Auburndale 5, Calvary Christian 2

Highlights: The Bloodhounds broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the top of the seventh to come away with the win. Gabriella Gonzalea went 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs, and Hailey Bradley sent 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs. Kagan Dudney doubled. Kassidy Pontbrian allowed just three hit and two unearned runs. She struck out 14.

Lake Minneola 3, Auburndale 2

Highlights: Kagan Dudney tripled, and Hailey Bradley, Tessa Anderson and Gabriella Gonzalez each had one hit for the Bloodhounds. Anderson allowed three runs on six hits with nine strikeouts and one walk.

Lake Region 8, George Jenkins 0

Highlights: The Thunder scored all eight runs in the first inning. Gabby Willis had three hits and an RBI, Savanah Ford and Margaret Jenkins each had a single with two RBIs. Makenna Meadows had two hits and an RBI. Meadows pitched a two-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts and no walks.

Lake Region 15, Sebring 1

Highlights: Gabby Willis went 3 for 3 with a double and four RBIs to lead Lake Region. Makenna Meadows had three hits and drove in two runs, and Kristen Aldredge had two hits and drove in three runs. Hannah White singled and drove in two runs. Lake Region finished with 14 hits. Makenna Meadows allowed one run on seven hits and struck out five.

Frostproof 15, Mulberry 0

Highlights: Caden Smith singled and drove in three runs, and Caitlyn Martinez and Shalayjah Robe each singled and drove in ro runs. Menzie Neal had two hits with. Double and an RBI. Trinity Tary doubled and had two RBIs.
