Jun. 23—NEW LONDON — Put on your dancing shoes, Ocean Beach Park Polka Days is back after a two-year hiatus.

Katrina Navrestad of Wisconsin and Jeremy Yarkoski of Nebraska, who met as children dancing polka, decided to come to the festival for the first time this year. They were dancing Thursday as the band Dynabrass performed.

"Every weekend in the summer, you drive to a different polka festival," Yarkoski said, "this week I just drove to an airport."

Navrestad said it was a no-brainer to travel for the weekend: "The beach and polka, I'm there."
