A new survey regarding Americans’ feelings toward cryptocurrency shows most are aware of digital currencies but unsure about their future.

Nine out of ten surveyed are aware of the various digital money options, according to Coupon Cabin and The Harris Poll.

Bitcoin is the most popular at 71% and also features the largest market cap, with Dogecoin ranking second at 29%.

Although Dogecoin is considered a “meme” currency, it still has more market awareness than Ethereum at 21%.

Ethereum is the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

But, those surveyed said they’re not sure about the future of digital currency.

Only 30% believe cryptocurrency is the future of money, while 23% think it’s a get-rich-quick scheme.

Nineteen percent believe the digital currencies are shady but 44% said they’d be interested in using them for online shopping, according to Coupon Cabin.

The Harris Poll, on behalf of CouponCabin, conducted the survey online within the United States from April 22-26 and polled 2,063 U.S. adults.
