GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Less than a week before polls close in the Michigan presidential primary, a new poll shows former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in the state.

The EPIC-MRA poll released Wednesday found that if the election were between Biden and Trump and held immediately, 45 percent of respondents would vote for Republican Trump and 41 percent would vote for Democratic incumbent Biden.

Fourteen percent of those polled said they were undecided or refused to say who they would vote for.

The poll found that 54 percent of those surveyed had an unfavorable view of both Biden and Trump.

Asked to rate Biden’s job performance, only 31 percent gave him a positive review, while 67 percent gave him a negative rating.

The poll surveyed 600 likely voters in Michigan between Feb. 13 and Feb. 18. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.

While the primary is still underway, it appears that both Biden and Trump will be victorious in their respective races.

The 2024 presidential race could be a rematch of the 2020 race. Polling in key states shows that the former and current presidents are too close to call in many of those pivotal battlegrounds.
