Another week, another batch of an exceptional outings for out talented student-athletes. In fact, there were so many that we just couldn't contain them to two polls! This week, you can vote for the Athlete of the Week in Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, and Swimming/Track/Wrestling!

Boys Nominees:

  • Connor Taddei, Pennsbury: Taddei hit a 3-pointer in OT, and was 12-for-12 from the free throw line, finishing with 26 points, helping Pennsbury erase a 9-point deficit against Bensalem in the fourth quarter.

  • Timmy Rahill, Council Rock South: In a rivalry game against CR North, Rahill led the way with 20 points and 6 rebounds to give the Golden Hawks the 54-45 win.

  • Charlie Cashman, CB West: Cashman had a huge game against rival CB South, connecting on seven 3-pointers and finishing with a game-high 24 points in the win.

  • Kamari Brasher, Abington: In the starting lineup due to injury, Brasher scored a career-best 12 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked 4 shots in a win against Academy of Palumbo. In a win against Wissahickon, Brasher contributed 7 rebounds, 5 points, and 2 blocks.

  • Miles Longacre, Quakertown: The junior erupted for 33 points, and connected on 5 free throws in overtime, to lead the Panthers to a 53-48 win.

Girls Nominees:

  • Karissa Smedley, Council Rock South: Smedley had 4 steals to go along with 8 points in a rivalry game against CR North, and followed that with a game-high 14 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals in a win against Wissahickon. She then scored a game-high 24 points in a win against Pennsbury.

  • Emily Knouse, Archbishop Wood: The sophomore sank eight 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 26 points in a win against West Catholic, as the Vikings improved to 8-0 in the PCL.

  • Gianna Johnson, George School: The junior scored 22 points in a win against Abington Friends that clinched the No. 3 seed for George School in the FSL playoffs.

  • Kylie Smith, Bensalem: Smith, the Owls’ lone senior, scored game-high 23 points to lead the Owls to a win over Truman on Senior Night.

  • Abby Plaugher, North Penn: The Knights’ senior turned in a 21-point performance on Senior Night, leading North Penn to a 43-29 win over CB South.
