Etowah's Briggs Freeman wins male athlete of the week for Gadsden-area
Etowah's Briggs Freeman won the male athlete of the week honors in the Gadsden area.
He had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run in a 5-4 win in the opener of the Class 4A semifinal against Hamilton.
Freeman won 51% of the vote to win the honors. Gaston's Kodie Bogle was second with 40.50% of the vote.
