Your polling place may have changed. Here's what to know for Oklahoma's primary election.

Local election officials are urging Oklahomans to check their polling location before going to vote in Tuesday's primary elections.

Some polling places have changed and some voters have been assigned to new precincts after last year's redistricting process.

After state lawmakers drew new boundaries for congressional and legislative districts, county election boards drew new precinct lines. In that process, Oklahoma County added 30 new precincts and eliminated seven polling locations.

"Just because we're reusing all but seven of the polling sites doesn't mean that because of the boundary changes, you're going to the polling site that you use to go vote at," said Oklahoma County Election Board Secretary Doug Sanderson.

As for how many voters might be assigned to new polling places, Sanderson said that's hard to quantify.

After redrawing the precincts, the election board sent out new voter identification cards to all registered voters in the county. Of the more than 400,000 cards sent out alerting voters to polling place and precinct number changes, over 65,000 were returned as undeliverable.

Sanderson urged those voters that did not receive a new voter ID card in the mail to check their polling place on the OK Voter Portal before heading to the polls.

Oklahoma County polling places will also post QR codes that voters can scan with their phones to make sure they're at the right location, Sanderson said.

"People just have to double check and make sure they're not lost on Election Day," Sanderson said.
