Polls close in Port St Mary by-election
The polls have closed in a by-election to fill two vacant seats on Port St Mary Commissioners.
Three candidates were vying for the roles - James Helps, David Scott and Jean Teare.
Those eligible had 12 hours to cast their votes before the polling station at the village hall on the promenade closed at 20:00 BST.
The board of the commissioners is made up of seven seats in total and there are 1,506 registered voters in the area.
Only five candidates came forward at the local authority general election in July 2021, leaving two seats vacant.
One of those seats was filled at a non-contested by-election in November 2022.
The current election was called following the death of serving member Alan Grace in December.
