Polls open for police elections in Wales
The polls have opened across Wales for voting in the police and crime commissioner elections.
Four candidates, representing the main political parties, are standing to be commissioners in each of the Dyfed-Powys, Gwent, North Wales and South Wales police force areas.
Commissioners are not responsible for day-to-day decisions on police operations, but set force priorities, budgets and can also appoint and dismiss chief constables.
For the first time in Welsh elections, voters will need to show photo ID to cast their ballot.
Polling stations close at 22:00 BST on Thursday, with votes counted and the winners declared during the day on Friday.
There will be coverage of the results across BBC Wales - including the website, Wales Today and Radio Wales.
Unlike in England, no local councillors are being elected in Wales.
