"There will also be a gift card tree with over $400 worth of gift cards donated by area businesses," Yoder said.

And, 200 goodie bags containing information and items from area stores will be given away.

Admission to the festival is $5. Children ages 14 and under are admitted free. Proceeds from the festival are donated by the Auxiliary to Pomerene Hospital for the purchase of patient care equipment and facility improvements.

"We also want to thank our additional monetary sponsors for their generous gifts," Yoder added. "This year the area businesses have really stepped up and donated very graciously. It's very humbling."

Suzie Robb of the Berlin Grande Hotel said the hospital held Christmas in July earlier this year, which helped get folks geared up for this weekend.

"Many people are excited for this event," Robb said, noting some regular visitors to the area set this weekend aside as a scheduled stop to get their holidays going.

The Christmas Tree Festival has been held at different locations over the years, but has settled into a happy home at the Berlin Grande over the past few years.

"We have the space and they needed a place to go, so it was a natural fit," Robb said of the partnership with Pomerene Hospital. "This is the fourth year we've been hosting this event."

Yoder gave kudos to the staff at the hotel as they prepare for the weekend.

"Everyone here has been great," she said. "The staff here is ridiculously helpful."
