Pompano Beach drivers should avoid this intersection on their Monday commutes

·1 min read

Emergency roadwork is expected to continue through Monday, impacting commuters driving through Pompano Beach.

Eastbound lanes of Copans Road and southbound lanes of Andrews Avenue will be affected, although county officials did not say if all or only some of the lanes would be closed.

Motorists are asked to plan ahead and avoid the intersection as crews work to repair a leak in a water main.

Over the weekend, only one lane was open, causing major delays and traffic congestion in the area.

Southbound commuters can take Interstate 95, Powerline Road or Northeast Third Avenue, while those going eastbound can use Sample Road, Northwest 15th Street, Hammondville Road or Atlantic Boulevard.
