'Pony Express': Lost horse wanders around Australia train station to escape rain

One commuter was found horsing around at a train station.

A horse wandered into a train station in New South Wales, Australia, after escaping heavy rain. Surveillance footage shows the equine dashing at the Warwick Farm Railway Station while wearing a rug.

"He was reported to be wearing only a rug and demonstrating a bit of horseplay," the Transport for New South Wales said in a Facebook post. "He appeared to pursue an informant along the platform before unsuccessfully attempting to board a train service."

The horse followed station guidelines by not crossing the yellow lines, according to Transport for NSW.

Horse reunited with owner

The stallion reunited with its owner after moving into the carpark area and returned home unscathed, officials said.

While the animal may have spooked riders, no further action will be taken, the post added.

"Oh Man ! Its the Pony express," one Facebook user commented.

Another user asked if the horse used an Opal card, used to access public transport services in the greater Sydney area.

"Sources tell us he was turned away for trying to ride for free!" the organization replied.
