'Poor Thing': Wildlife Watcher's Dismay as Seal Pup Surrounded by Trash
A wildlife enthusiast in Shetland, Scotland, was dismayed to find a seal pup surrounded by trash at a remote beach on November 19.
“Although many beaches are regularly cleaned, this beach is inaccessible, leading to the build up [of] waste that is washed ashore,” the Rev David M Lees, who recorded this video, said.
He said he filmed from a distance so as not to disturb the young family.
“We were horrified to see this,” the Hillswick Wildlife Sanctuary said.
