Pop-up art classes begin Oct. 7 at Holmes Center for the Arts

If you are looking for a fun and enriching activity for yourself or for your group of friends, the Holmes Center for the Arts is offering a pop-up class in various art mediums on Fridays, beginning Oct. 7 and running through Nov. 18.

Join an HCA art teacher for an art night out. Bring a friend, a beverage and snack (if desired), along with your creative cap. The classes are from 6-7:30 p.m. and offer experiences in acrylic painting, printmaking, needle felting and Fraktur.

Fraktur is an artistic and elaborate illuminated folk art created by the Pennsylvania Dutch, named after the Fraktur script associated with it.

Visit holmescenterforthearts.org to sign up for these classes or find other opportunities in the arts, such as digital art, poetry/card making and ceramics.
