Pop-Up Shops Back At Marblehead's Boston Yacht Club

MARBLEHEAD, MA —A unique day of shopping in Marblehead to benefit programs at the town's public schools is returning to the Boston Yacht Club on Front Street next month.

The Pop-Up Shops, co-hosted by the Marblehead Mother's Co-op, are back on April 1 and April 2 with 20 vendors expected. Proceeds from the event will go to the Friends of the Marblehead Public Schools.

Back after the COVID-19 health crisis hiatus, this year's event will feature an array of women-owned brands and creators offering kids and adult apparel and accessories, fun jewelry, home goods and other specialty gifts.

Amond the vendors scheduled this year are:

Alice & Blue, which creates hand-painted, New England-inspired needlepoint canvases that can be finished as clutches, pillows and more. Founder Kelly Clements will be on hand for demos throughout both days of the event.

CeCe Dupraz, one of Oprah’s Favorite Things and a Goop Gift Guide pick, this Marblehead-based brand founded by Marion Greeley will embroider your drawings onto their collection of cotton and canvas classics, and teach others how to do the same through workshops.

Katie Bartels Jewelry specializes in colorful, lightweight statement earrings and necklaces. All designs are handmade by Katie in her vibrant Connecticut studio. Katie's jewelry is inspired by her love of color and her love of modern art.

Piping Prints, a men, women and children’s clothing company from Nantucket Island, offering classic, preppy embroidered seersucker kids clothes for parties, parades, summer barbecues, and the playground.

Lilibridge offers bright, bold and fun designs in beach accessories made from the hand-drawn, island-inspired artwork of Boston artist, Vanessa Douglas. All prints are hand-screen printed onto 100% natural cotton canvas.

Tyed With Love offers custom tie-dye apparel and accessories for kids, women and men. Based in Wellesley, Mass., owner Lindsay also offers tie-dye events for birthdays, bachelorette parties and more. They even offer virtual events via zoom and will customize at the request of customers.

The shops will be open on April 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.. to 2 p.m. Friday night guests can enjoy complimentary champagne while they shop. There will also be raffles and door prizes — including Justin Bieber concert tickets, summer experiences, luxury spa package and best-selling items from the shops.
