Pope Francis voiced his support for COVID-19 vaccines in a video message issued on August 18, urging people to take a vaccine as an “act of love” for others.

This video, released by Vatican News, features Pope Francis as well as bishops from north and south America encouraging viewers to get the vaccine.

“Getting the vaccines that are authorized by the respective authorities is an act of love,” the pontiff says. “And helping the majority of people to do so is an act of love. Love for oneself, love for our families and friends, and love for all peoples,” he adds. Credit: Vatican News via Storyful
