Popular Ansonia Cafe Closing

ANSONIA, CT — DiGiovanni's Cafe & Catering announced it would close its doors due to a drop in business caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The cafe offered a variety of Italian sandwiches and stuffed breads and had an espresso bar.

Head chef and owner Nicholas DiGiovanni is a Johnson and Wales University graduate. He worked for FIFA during the 2006 World Cup and cooked for German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other world leaders, according to the cafe's website.
