White opened the restaurant in February 2003.

The barbecue joint was known for its ribs, which were smoked in a 20-foot barbecue pit using oak and hickory woods.

“My love and dedication to the people I have worked with over the years will never go away,” White told Channel 9 on Tuesday. “The people of Apopka are the best.”
