Popular barbecue chain opens new restaurant in downtown Sacramento. It’s takeout only

A popular barbecue chain just opened a new spot in downtown Sacramento, but it’s not like other locations in the area.

Buckhorn BBQ & Grill’s newest restaurant, which opened Monday at 801 14th St., is takeout-only.

The downtown restaurant will also offer catering and its Smokeshow BBQ Trailer, according to a news release. It neighbors the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium and the Sacramento Convention Center.

Buckhorn BBQ’s new spot will offer the same menu as its Valley locations, including barbecue platters, boxed lunches, sandwiches and salads.

“This expansion comes in response to the growing demand for takeout and catering orders, and many of our guests having returned to in-person workplaces in the area,” Ben Evangelista, general manager of the 14th Street location, said in the release. “This new location promises to provide the same exceptional food and service that has made Buckhorn BBQ + Grill a go-to restaurant.”

The 14th Street spot will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday. You can order online for pick up or delivery.

Buckhorn BBQ & Grill has locations throughout Northern California, including restaurants in Sacramento’s Land Park neighborhood, Folsom, Rocklin and the UV Plaza.
