This popular Sacramento brewery is now serving food. What’s on the menu?

A Sacramento-area brewing company opened a kitchen inside one of its locations in the hope of making its grub just as much of a draw as its brew.

West Sacamento-based Bike Dog Brewing Company debuted its new menu on Jan. 16 to its more than 18,000 followers on Instagram. The location at 915 Broadway, Suite 110, in Land Park, now serves a variety of sandwiches, salads and small bites.

The original brick-and-mortar at 2568 Industrial Blvd. in West Sacramento will continue to serve hot dogs alongside its beers, according to its website.

“We’ve worked really hard on bringing together a great menu and erred on the side of high quality ingredients just like we do when making our beers, seltzers, and hop waters,” Bike Dog Brewing wrote in an Instagram post to its customers.

In 2017, the independent craft brewing company expanded its business to Land Park in search of a “neighborhood feel.”

Vintage bikes hang from the ceiling of the taproom and doodles of dogs with human features are sketched on the walls.

The dog-friendly outdoor heated patio has tables and bar stools.

Customers will still be able to order next door from casual, upscale cafe Selland’s in Land Park, Bike Dog Brewing stated. Either grab your food yourself or have it bagged and dropped off inside the taproom near the water station.

The company was founded by Peter Atwood, Raef Porter, Sage Smith and Andrew Tendick.

“This is the story of four friends and co-workers who turned their shared passion for bikes, dogs and brewing into one of the most redundantly named craft breweries in the world,” Bike Dog Brewing wrote on its website.

“At Bike Dog, we’re serious about beer, but not about ourselves,” the brewing business added.

As of Monday morning, Bike Dog Brewing representatives were not available for comment.
