From 7 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, the restaurant and bar will hold a party with live music and an in-house DJ.

“Let’s bid a temporary farewell to The Bank while they prepare for exciting updates and renovations,” the business said on its website.

The Bank of Sacramento occupies the space that was first constructed in 1912 as the second location of the National Gold Bank of D. O, Mills and Company.

In 1925, three banks merged into the California National Bank and an annex was added to house the three banks.

The bank closed in 1933 as part of “The Bank Holiday” and was never reopened. The building was purchased by the State of California and used by the Bureau of Vital Statistics, the Industrial Claims Board and other offices.
