Five months after abruptly closing its doors in Neptune Beach, popular seafood restaurant Cousins Maine Lobster is reopening.

According to a post shared Friday on the restaurant’s Facebook page, Cousins will reopen in early October in the same storefront it had called home since its opening in 2018, at 630 Atlantic Blvd. in the Publix-anchored Seminole Shoppes.

The restaurant, which was featured in a 2021 episode of “Shark Tank,” closed in April. At the time, it noted in a social media post that it would be closed until further notice.

Months later, another social media posted greeted the restaurant’s fans with “We're on our way back and we missed you! ... We truly look forward to reopening our doors, welcoming you back and serving you our Maine treats!”

The post was quickly met with excitement from the restaurant’s fans:

  • “We travel all the way from Panama City for these tasty treats and we missed you the last couple of times we were in Jacksonville.”

  • “Fantastic news!! Welcome back!!”

Cousins Maine Lobster operates dozens of food trucks across the United States, but just six restaurants, according to the company’s website.
